by Joseph Spector, The Journal News, July 21, 2008 At a public debate last week, over 13,000 active duty Air Force soldiers whose jobs were restructured into the Reserve were insulted by John Degnan, the Democratic candidate for the 99th Assembly district in New York.
Degnan, who never served in the military, stated he was denigrating their broken promise to serve their country. Rather than repudiating an anonymous letter distributed to voters that repeated these charges, Degnan refused to apologize. |
