Degnan staffers continue to be crude and rude PDF Print E-mail
YORKTOWN, NY - Yorktown Republican Committee Chairperson Serafina Mastro last week called on 99th Assembly District candidate John Degnan to stop the profane and undignified tone of his campaign against Assemblyman Greg Ball.

A shocking new photo taken last week by former Ball campaign staffer Matt Neuringer at the debate held at the Yorktown Stage, shows Degnan’s new campaign manager, Rob DiFrancesco, giving the middle finger to a voter. This is the second time in the past month that a senior Degnan staffer was caught red-fingered committing such a disgraceful and disturbing act.

In late July, Degnan’s press secretary, Denis Castelli, gave the one fingered-salute to Southeast Town Councilman Dwight Yee at a press conference. Castelli has since left the Degnan campaign.

“Just when you think John Degnan’s nasty campaign can’t get any more despicable, they find a way to sink to a new low,” Neuringer said. “It’s clear that Mr. Degnan and his team have no shame whatsoever.”

Mastro and other town committee members were standing directly behind Neuringer as he took the photo, and saw the event transpire.

“Unlike Assemblyman Ball, whohas run an issues-based campaign about capping property taxes, reducing gas prices and cracking down on sexual predators, Degnan has waged one of the dirtiest most irresponsible campaigns this area has ever seen,” Mastro said. “The voters of the 99th Assembly District deserve an apology for this shameful behavior.”

“I can only guess that the failed former Mayor of Brewster is running such a sleazy campaign because he has a terrible record of failures for the people of Brewster when it comes to public safety and turning the village into a safe haven for illegal aliens,” Neuringer added

Accountability

Failed Brewster Mayor John Degnan has promised that if elected to higher office, he will work to bring accountability to government. Perhaps he should first explain how his plan to quadruple taxes by installing water meters and hiking fees resulted in a million dollar accounting error! This occurred on his watch, and could have cost taxpayers millions. Read More

Pride of ownership

Failed Brewster Mayor John Degnan often speaks of pride of ownership. If he is referring to using public office for personal benefit, that could help to explain how his brother-in-law received a raise as village attorney while Degnan was in office, how his contracting firm landed village deals, or how his nonprofit received an official village partnership. Respectability

Failed Brewster Mayor John Degnan swore to run a positive campaign based on issues, yet after all this time, no one knows where he stands. All that's left is his record of failures and a vague statement about returning respectability to government. Why, then, has he been publicly attacking veterans who were restructured into the reserve?. Read More
